Hyderabad Gears Up for Sankranti: Hot Air Balloon & Drone Festivals Announced

Hyderabad is preparing to stage a grand Sankranti celebration this year with a series of festivals, which are going to be very lively, and they are going to be a big attraction for huge crowds. The Telangana Tourism Department has revealed a Drone Festival for January 13-14 and a fantastic Hot Air Balloon Festival from January 16-18 at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad as coming up events.
Along with the International Kite and Sweet Festival, which is going to take place from January 13-15, these festivities are going to make the Sankranti week a prime cultural spot for both the locals and the visitors.
The Tourism Department states that the hot air balloon and drone festivals are aimed at promoting tourism, showcasing significant locations in Telangana, and attracting more domestic and international travelers. The Drone Festival will also celebrate Drone Day, reflecting the state's increasing interest in aerial innovation and technology.
To maintain effective coordination and control over the crowds, an interdepartmental meeting was held where Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary (YAT&C Department), presided and officials from the Tourism and Police Departments were present.
As Sankranti nears, Hyderabad is prepared for a very colourful, cultural, technological and high-flying excitement packed festive season.
